What's happening in Holy Week?

Hello to the members of 2 White and their families!

Mrs Dalton and ClassIt's unbelievable thinking back over the term and recognising how much learning has happened on a daily basis.  Members of our community are deserving of a celebration!!  Showcase Evening is coming up!!  It is next Wednesday (Wk 9) from 6pm until 7pm. Students and their families are invited into our classrooms to celebrate the achievements from term 1.  It is an "open hour" you are welcome to arrive any time between 6 and 7 and are welcome to head off once you have perused your child's achievements.  The Showcase Evening will finish at 7pm so please give yourself enough time on the night. Please note this is not a time for a 'Parent/Teacher Interview' if anyone would like to discuss their child's progress in detail, it is important to make an appointment with me for early next term. Please don't forget to pay a visit to our Music and PE departments up in Siena where you can also experience our Easter Gallery Walk.

St Bernardine's Value : Appreciation

It's important that we take some time to appreciate all the things we have in our lives to be thankful for.

In the spirit of APPRECIATION - a big THANK YOU to all of the families who have supported the Caritas Project this Lent so far.  It is great to be able to show the students one way to show compassion towards others and improve the lives of people who are less fortunate than us.

Homework: This week, the homework was sent home on Friday 18th March and is due back completed on Thursday 24th March. Students, it is important to take pride in your homework.  This is part of your learning at home.

Home Readers - The boxes have no been rotated and a new stock of books are here to be read.  It is very important that children read every night in order to develop their reading and comprehension skills which underline their ability to process information across every subject area.  A list of ideas for parents that will help check your child's comprehension of the book they have read has been included in their reading folder as well as a list of the 200 Sight Words the students are required to know by the end of the year.  Please return the reading folder EVERY DAY regardless of whether or not your child has finished reading the book, as we use the reading folder to send home notes rather than have hem getting lost in school bags.

Have a great week and a wonderful and safe Easter!

Excursion to Mayes Cottage - Thursday 10th March
2 White will depart school at 10am for Mayes Cottage. We will eat before we leave the school and again when we return.  The only things the students will require to have with them is a hat and a drink bottle. A hat is VERY important as a large portion of the tour is outside.

Homework: This week, the homework was sent home on on Friday 4th March and is due back completed on Friday 11th March. Students, it is important to take pride in your homework.  This is part of your learning at home.
