Homework: This week, the homework was sent home on Friday 27th May and is due back completed on Friday 3rd June.  Students, it is important to take pride in your homework.  This is part of your learning at home.

Improve Home Reading - One way to motivate your child to read their home reader may be 'I read, you read.'  You could read the entire book first then have your child read it or take it page by page.  You read a page, then your child reads the same page.  It can be motivating for the students to hear someone else read what they will be reading next.  Try to inject some fun into it - you could use expression, change your voice or try reading the book to a beat.  Making this time fun is important.

Have a great week!

Wellness Week begins!

During week 6, we will be devoting some time to exploring the concept of 'Wellness.'  To give families the opportunity to benefit from 'Wellness Week' at home, there is no homework or home readers being set during this week.  Which in turn, gives families more opportunity to enjoy each other's company.

Things to Remember :-
  • No Homework due to Wellness week
  • St Bernardine's Day is Wednesday
  • Music and PE are on Mondays and Fridays
  • Library - our house of books will out of action for the next couple of weeks due to the improvements currently in progress.
  • Dance Fever - Tuesday @ 10:10am
  • Digital Literacies - Tuesday @ 11:30am

Parent Help Please : 2 White would like to invite any available parents to come into school and help us with our reading.  Please drop me an email if you are available for this.

Homework: This week, the homework was sent home on Friday ______ and is due back completed on ______.  Students, it is important to take pride in your homework.  This is part of your learning at home.

Home Readers - It is very important that children read every night in order to develop their reading and comprehension skills which underline their ability to process information across every subject area.  A list of ideas for parents that will help check your child's comprehension of the book they have read has been included in their reading folder as well as a list of the 200 Sight Words the students are required to know by the end of the year.  Please return the reading folder EVERY DAY regardless of whether or not your child has finished reading the book, as we use the reading folder to send home notes rather than have hem getting lost in school bags.

Have a great week!
